David offers significant experience in public
policy advocacy and strategic analysis and planning. He was the co-founder
and executive director of the Center for Long-Term Care Financing,
the nation’s premier think tank and public policy group dedicated
to solving America’s long-term care financing crisis.
As executive director of the Center, David led
efforts in fundraising, grant writing, budget analysis and oversight,
public relations/marketing, strategic planning, coalition building
and staff development. In addition, David managed the legal and financial
affairs of the Center as well as operated as the principal liaison
between Center staff and a national board of directors. He addressed
professional conferences, gave media interviews, provided legislative
testimony, and wrote articles for publication.
Previously, David served as Counsel for Public
Policy with LTC, Inc., practiced law with two Seattle firms specializing
in insurance defense litigation, and clerked for U.S. District Court
Judge Paul Matia (ND-Ohio) and Ohio Attorney General Lee Fisher.
His experience and education provides a broad
array of services to clients seeking assistance with legislative
and regulatory issues, strategic planning, written and oral testimony,
media relations, fundraising, and more.
David serves on the boards of Senior Services
of Seattle/King County, the Anti Defamation League and the Center
for LTC Financing. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association,
the American Bar Association and the National Association of Social
Workers.
