Jay Grant is legislative counsel and the managing partner of
Jay Grant & Associates, PS with offices in Washington, D.C.
and Seattle, WA. He offers representation to governments, associations
and companies before the United States Congress, the Executive
Branch and federal regulatory agencies.
Jay offers years of in-depth knowledge of public policy issues.
He began is political career volunteering for Senator "Scoop" Jackson
during his presidential campaign in 1976 in New England. He was
President and CEO of the Washington, DC based National Association
of Health Underwriters and served as Legislative Counsel in Washington,
D.C. to the State of Arkansas under Governor Mike Huckabee and
was a political advisor to Congressman Asa Hutchinson.
Cited in Congressional Quarterly's Daily Monitor as one of "Washington's
Power Lobbyists", Jay has significantly contributed to several
pieces of major legislation including the Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act of 1996, and the Balanced Budget Act of
1997. He is actively involved in several pieces of legislation
currently before Congress and the Administration.
