| Jay
Grant, Managing Partner of JG&A, announced the firm would establish
a Homeland Security Practice Group. Grant stated,” After looking
at this issue closely it appears this direction fits well within our
overall business plan.”
“To date the firm has primarily focused on healthcare and insurance
issues in Congress, and state insurance regulation. Homeland Security
will bring a new aspect to the firm allowing our staff to use its close
contacts within the new Department.”
“Jay Grant & Associates will initially concentrate it efforts
within the Border Transportation Security (BTS) division of Homeland
Security. We will evaluate which industries will most profoundly be
affected by BTS. The New Department will become a reality in March
of 2003. We will work to have our marketing plan in place by that time.”
“Looking forward, we are excited that this decision will allow
the Firm to concentrate more in the Pacific Northwest. Our home base
is Seattle and we feel many companies in the region will want to work
with the new agency.”
